About the YLN
Established in 1985 as a partnership between the Yavapai College Library and the Prescott Public Library, the Yavapai Library Network (YLN) has grown into a collaborative consortium of over 50 public, academic, K-12, and special libraries. By leveraging interlibrary relationships, the network offers a single shared catalog with access to over one million items, a county-wide item transit system, and crucial administrative assistance to its members—including marketing, purchasing support, funding, and staff training. Through this resource sharing, YLN operates with exceptional efficiency; a 2021 study by BERK and Associates revealed that the network delivers an outstanding return on investment, providing $6.43 in library services for every $1 of taxpayer funding.
